This Love
上週請了三天假，跟Minseo, Sarah三個人去德國找 Melanie 跟她的男友 Jannis.
在歐洲工作的好處之一就是，不管合約是短期長期，第一年無條件給你23天年假。我們公司已經是我聽到比較少假期的了，有的公司還一年放26天。台灣人的休假是要先工作滿一年，第二年開始可以有十天特休 ，回想當年出社會眼巴巴期盼一年十天的休假的心情真是有點心酸 (而且用"特休"這個詞一付就是公司恩准你的樣子)。其實還是想回亞洲生活工作，但歐洲勞工真的也過太開心了吧...
Melanie 跟 Jannis的房子超大，兩個人住的房子，空間簡直是大得浪費，大到讓人看了默默揪心自問「我的人生到底都在幹嘛?!!」

| 禮拜六辦了一個BBQ party，在Melanie朋友到之前我還幫忙除了草，大房子真是辛苦呢(抹汗) |
不過這麼大的房子當然不是在離市區太近的地方，Melanie 跟 Jannis 每天上班各要開 20跟50分鐘的車各自到 Osnabrück 跟 Gütersloh 上班。她說德國普遍都是這樣：大家不喜歡住在城市裡，寧可住遠一些，房租便宜、空間大，所以對他們而言，這樣的房子大小跟通勤時間都是很普遍而合理的。

我們這趟德國行程走老人路線，每天在Melanie家裡睡飽飽，起床就在院子裡吃新鮮的德國麵包加果醬或火腿當早餐，然後開車出去走走。德國也進入夏天了，天氣非常好。

我以前只知道德國人對香草很執著：一定要用新鮮草葉做菜，不喜歡裝在罐子裡的 herbs，所以超市裡賣的香草都是一盆一盆的裝，讓你回去可以繼續種 (Melanie: 但它們永遠不會再長出來! )。這趟真正住進人家家裡，發現比起香草，這個民族對醬料的重視更是不得了，跟中華文化搞不好有得拚。一頓飯大概至少要有三四種叫不出名字的醬料跟菜一起端上桌，沙拉要加酪梨醬跟酸奶油拌香草、鮭魚要加 tartare 還有 Heintz 、香腸要加 mustard 跟番茄醬、炒蔬菜的話就放BBQ或是鐵板燒醬 (話說龜甲萬在德國大受歡迎呢)，其他還有 marinara 摻進一些香草之類的我根本叫不出名字。據 Melanie 說她父母更嚴重，吃個馬鈴薯要把三四種醬混在一起；而 Jannis 則是極度厭惡混搭 XD

開車出去的路上 Melanie 怕我們聽德文廣播會無聊，所以都開著德國的英文電台 BFBS。BFBS 電台的目標族群是在德的英國人，其實一開始是為戰後留在德國的英國軍人而設。不知道是不是他們 DJ 太混，還是英國老兵就是喜歡這個音樂類型，在這五天內我們至少聽了十次 Maroon 5 loop。這首 This Love 尤其卡腦啊。
